Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar Installation - 2022 Freightliner S2RV- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Blue Ox Avail tow bar on a 2022 Freightliner S2 RV. The Blue Ox Avail is definitely one of the more heavy duty tow bars that we offer here at etrailer and there's not a whole lot of frills that come with this one as far as cable management, but overall this is a really heavy duty, solid tow bar that will last you a long time. And one of the best part about it is it's going to be a non-binding tow bar. And what that simply means is when your arms extend while towing, that's what they're supposed to do. But when you go to unhook, sometimes that's when it gets tricky. Your older tow bars, a lot of times you have to be on perfectly flat level ground to really get those to unbind and draw those arms back to unhook your vehicle. more

Demco SBS Air Force One Coach Air Kit Installation - 2021 Freightliner M2- Video
Hi John with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at Demco's Air Force One Coach Kit and we're installing it on a 2021 Freightliner M2. Now this Demco kit is gonna be perfect for you if you say upgraded your coach and it has air brakes, but it doesn't have an OEM prep package for supplemental braking systems with air. This is not gonna be the whole kit for your towed vehicle as well. If you need that, we have other kits available for you. This is gonna be just the coach side. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Furion Chill HE replacement air distribution box on a 2002 freight liner XE Motor Home. This distribution box is specifically designed for the Chill HE. It does work with a few different models of Furion AC unit. This was a great addition for our Furion Chill HE AC unit that we put on here because the air distribution box allows us to get just some new hardware in there, make sure that it's nice and sealed up, but also it allowed us to bolt up directly to the AC unit where the factory one that we had in here previous wasn't going to line up. Now a few different features on here, you do have two different vents that you can adjust. So if you close this up and you have a ducted system, it's gonna push that air through the AC vents on the ceiling. more

Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner Installation - 2002 Freightliner XC-Series- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Furrion Chill HE replacement AC unit on a 2002 Freightliner XC motor home. This is gonna be a great replacement for an AC unit that you already have and it's gonna work with a few different types of distribution boxes, include Advent, Coleman as well as Dometic. Now we did find that we had to use a separate distribution box specifically for this HE unit, but it does drop in nice and easy. The HE in the name stands for high efficiency, so this is gonna cool nice and efficiently. It can be used with a ducted or a ductless system. The high efficiency is accomplished by having dual motors and that's gonna get our 13,500 Btu capacity, chilling this down nice and quick. more

With this particular kit, you know, there's primarily one big reason why people use it, and that is because say, if you have already been flat towing a vehicle for a while and you had everything set up as far as the braking system goes, you know, being that it's the Air Force one. And what tends to happen, a lot of people, you know, they flat tow for a couple years and then end up getting into a different motor home, right You trade the older one in, get into a newer one. Well, instead of having to change up your whole braking system on the vehicle that you're flat towing and things like that, you can simply just pick up the motor home side only parts, install all those on the coach, and be able to quickly and easily kinda get back on the road again. more

MORryde RV Cargo 2 Way Sliding Tray Installation - 2022 Freightliner XC-Series- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the MORryde RV Cargo slide on a 2022 Freightliner XC chassis. So just like the basement on your house, the basement of your RV is where you can store a lot of the things that you need, but maybe not on a daily basis and don't want to have them in your living quarters. And this one being nice and open allows us to get a lot of space on our slide out tray. And this one is 90 inches by 39 inches, so that really allows for a lot of storage. And normally you can store quite a bit in here, but you're gonna have to dive in there and grab all that stuff out, where this makes it nice and easy, you just lift this spring loaded latch out and you get 60% extension. So that means you can really access just about anything you need on this side. more

So what this kit is going to allow you to do is set up your motor home to be able to flat tow a vehicle down the road as long as it already has the Air Force one components on it. So what happens a lot, or what we see a lot is someone will have your motor home and set their vehicle up with the Air Force one kit, right, the whole package and then maybe in a few years you decide you wanna upgrade and get a new motor home. You end up picking up the motor home while you still wanna flat tow. Well, as opposed to having to buy the whole package again when you really only need the motor home side of things, that's where this kit's gonna come into play. more

Demco SBS Towed Car Conversion Kit Installation - 2022 Freightliner XC-Series- Video
(tool buzzing distantly) Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at the Demco conversion kit from Stay-IN-Play DUO to the Air Force One on a 2022 Freightliner XC Chassis. So, throughout a flat tow vehicle's lifespan, sometimes you end up upgrading either the vehicle or the coach, and that means not everything plays ball. So if you've gone to a larger coach with air brakes, unfortunately, the Stay-IN-Play DUO is not going to be working. So, instead of taking out the entire system, you can simply buy the conversion, which is gonna give you the main unit here, as well as the lines to hook up to the front, your airline, also your fitting here, and also the tank and fittings to hook up to the air supply on your RV! Now, this is a pretty simple system, especially if you have everything in place, you just kinda cut a few wires, you can utilize a lot of the same airlines already. You will have to run a new one, and you will have to tie into your RV, but something also to consider is, a lot of newer RVs will already have the tank in place. So, something you're gonna wanna check is to see if you have that fitting on the back of your RV already, and if that's the case, you're gonna be in luck. more

Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Demco Coach Kit for the Air Force One Braking System on 2022 Freightliner XC Chassis. If you have a flat towed vehicle with the Air Force one already installed and you've upgraded your coach to another air brake coach and you don't have the air fitting already on there, not to worry, you don't have to buy a hole kit. You can simply get the RV side and that's where it really comes into play to where you can tie it in, have your fitting, and still be able to hook up to your vehicle and be on the road in no time. Now, as far as getting your tank and all your airlines set up on your RV, the first thing that I do is mount up your fitting and you're gonna see this is a female adapter. Should have the larger cap on it so make sure you have that proper one. more

Speaker Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at Etrailer, and today we have a Blue Ox Avail Tow bar on our RV, which is going to be on a 2012 Freightliner Maxum Chassis. Now the Avail is a really nice tow bar as far as weight capacities go. This one comes in pretty heavy duty, at 10,000 pounds as its capacity. So, for this F-150, that's plenty. And, really anything that you plan on flat towing, even in the future, this should keep up with it pretty easily. Now, it is non-binding, which is a awesome feature to have and, kind of, the new standard of most tow bars. more

RoadMaster Falcon Tow Bar Installation - 2009 Freightliner XC-Series- Video
Hello, neighbors! It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain Tow Bar on a 2009 Freightliner XC motorhome. Now, this tow bar is rated at 6,000 pounds, so for our Equinox that we're hooked up to today, shouldn't be a problem, and it's gonna open up that window to any vehicle to be flat towed as long as it's under that 6,000 pound rating. Now, there's gonna be five main components when flat towing a vehicle. Starting on the vehicle side, the first thing you're gonna need is your base plate. The base plate's gonna allow you to put these arms in place, and that way you can connect to your tow bar so you have that solid connection with your base plate. The connection between the RV and the vehicle, being the tow bar, is going to be that solid connection, and that's where we have our Falcon. more

Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer Installation - 1999 Freightliner Sport Chassis- Video
Speaker 1: All right, today on this 1999 Freightliner Motorhome Chassis, we're going to review and install the Roadmaster Reflex steering stabilizer, part number RM-RBK14-RSSA.This is what the Reflex steering stabilizer looks like when it's installed on our motor coach. First off, it's going to install on our tie rod right here. It'll connect over here to about right next to the shock mount that's mounted to our axle. If you make a left hand turn, this spring will expand, and once you come off a turn the spring will want to contract and pull your wheels in a straight line. Same thing, if you make a right hand turn, this will compress and it'll want to expand back to its center position. When it's in center position, your steering wheel is going to be a lot easier to control and will require less input as you go down the road.The main benefit about having the control going in a straight line wheel, is that you're not constantly making adjustments while going over rough roads, or roads with ruts in them. more

Roadmaster 2nd Motorhome Alarm Kit Installation - 2016 Freightliner Motorhome- Video
Today on our 2016 Freightliner chassis motorhome, we'll be having a look at and installing the Roadmaster 2nd Motorhome Monitor and Alarm kit, part number RM-98850. All right, here's what out indicator light looks like installed. As you can see, it's a nice way to know that our brakes are being applied in our towed vehicle behind our motorhome. Now as you can see when you're driving down the road, you don't take your eyes off the road very far at all. You can just glance down and have your indication that your brakes are being applied and everything is working okay. This is a great solution to let you know if the brakes are being applied in the towed vehicle versus having to look at your rear-view display to see the indicator light that's typically mounted on the dash or behind the rear-view mirror inside the towed vehicle. As you can see here, we get a nice visual LED indicator when the brakes are applied inside our towed vehicle. more

Roadmaster 2nd Motorhome Alarm Kit Installation - 2017 Freightliner Motorhome- Video
Today, on our 2017 Freightliner Chassis motorhome, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Roadmaster Second Motorhome Monitor and Alarm Kit, Part #RM-98850. Here's what the monitor kit looks like once it's installed on the motorhome. We've got the light conveniently mounted in the dash here, and that's going to light up any time that the brakes in the towed vehicle are applied. What's nice about that is, sometimes, with the supplemental braking systems installed on the towed vehicles, it can be hard to see the indicator light that's on the dash or on the back of the rearview mirror, because of either bright sunlight or because of the angle of the camera on the back of your motorhome, but with the light up here, it's nice and easy to see, and you'll never miss that light being on. You'll always know if the brakes are active or not on your towed vehicle. Mounted just up underneath the dash here is the audio alarm unit that's going to go off after the brakes have been applied in the towed vehicle for about ten seconds. It just wants to alert you, to make sure that you know they've been on for a while. Hopefully, that doesn't mean that they're locked up. Here's everything that's going to come in our kit. more

Putco Nite Lux Halogen Headlight Bulbs Installation - 2010 Freightliner Sprinter- Video
Today on our 2010 Freightliner Sprinter we'll be installing the Putco Nite-Lux headlight bulb upgrade kit for halogen to LED, white in color, part number P270007. First let's go ahead and take a look at the old or manufacturer's headlight and the brightness from them. Now we'll go ahead and look at the new Putco Nite-Lux headlights. As you can see, they're brighter and have a whiter look to them for more driver awareness. These are the premium Cree LEDs that offer 2,500 lumens of light and have a lifespan of 50,000 hours each. Being 40% smaller than other bulbs, it will easily fit into tight spaces. more

Thule Gutter Feet Installation - 2010 Freightliner Sprinter- Video
Today on our 2010 Dodge Sprinter Motor Home were going to be installing the Thule gutter feet, an 11 inch high design that come in a quantity of 4, part number TH953. Now well also be installing Thule load bars in a standard 96 inch part number THLB96. In order to install our system up here on top of this motor home, were going to need to install this artificial rain gutter kit, part number TH542. Comes with the artificial gutter, a rubber strip that goes underneath it and a metal plate that will go inside depending on your application. Roadmaster 2nd Motorhome Alarm Kit Installation - 2007 Freightliner Motorhome- Video
Today on our 2007 Freightliner motorhome we'll be installing the RoadMaster second motorhome monitor alarm kit, part number RM-98850. For this application the motorhome is new but they'll still be using the same towed vehicle. We'll install the second motorhome kit so that we can hook it up to the original towed vehicle. Now to begin our install we'll first start here in the motor coach. We'll need to mount the light and alarm, finding a location suitable and accessible to the driver here near the steering wheel and driver's console. To connect the alarm we'll take the red wire from the alarm and the red wire from our light. We'll go ahead and take the two wires, twist them together, slide our butt connector on, and then crimp it down. more

Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer Installation - 1998 Freightliner Motorhome- Video
Today on our 1998 Freightliner Chassis Motorhome we're going to be installing the Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer with mounting brackets for a Class A motor home, part number RM-RBK14-RSSA. Here is what our reflex steering stabilizer looks like installed on our motor home. Now, we're going to go ahead and show you what it looks like without the steering stabilizer installed on the motorhome and how the motorhome reacts. You'll notice when you go around a corner you'll have to turn the steering wheel back to center and you also have a lot more play in the steering wheel causing you to work harder on those long drives; especially with a stiff crosswind. Now that we've got our reflex stabilizer installed we're going to go ahead and show you what it looks like now. You notice how when you go around a corner the steering wheel helps recenter itself instead of you always having to do it, but also it's much tighter in the steering wheel meaning you are not working hard on those long drives so you can drive longer and be less fatigued. It also helps out with that stiff cross breeze. It helps keep the motorhome in between the lane. Now, let's go ahead and show you how to install it. more

Bully Dog Rapid Power Module Installation - 2006 Freightliner Sprinter- Video
Today on our 2006 Freightliner Sprinter we'll be installing the Bully Dog Rapid Power Module, part number BY44631. To begin our install we'll need to open the hood of our vehicle. We'll also want to make sure that our engine is off and that everything has cooled down. Next, we'll locate the common rail plug sensor on the engine. The common rail plug is located on the driver's side of the engine by the radiator. We'll disconnect the stock female sensor plug from the common rail then we'll grab our Bully Dog Rapid Power Module and connect the male module sensor plug to the stock female fuel pressure sensor plug. more

Optronics 12 Volt DC Outlet Installation - 1998 Freightliner Motorhome- Video
Today on our 1998 Freightliner Motorhome, we're going to be installing the Obtronics 12-volt DC outlet, part number A-101M. Next, we'll go through the operation of our new 12-volt supply. With all our connections made, we can go ahead and check our new outlet. First, we'll open it up, plug in our 12-volt source, turn the ignition key on, and we have power. To make our electrical connections for power and ground, we're going to utilize some pre-existing pigtail for power. Here on the driver's side of the steering column, up underneath the dash, you'll see a red and white pigtail. more

Lippert RV Electric Sliding Step Installation - 2006 Freightliner Sprinter- Video
Today on our 2006 Sprinter, we'll be installing the Lippert RV Electric Sliding Step, part number LC285306. We'll go ahead and review the operation. With the RV battery power on and the door switch on, we'll simply open up the screen door and it will extend the step, also turning on the step illumination light. Then when we close the door, it will retract the step. Now we'll go ahead with our install. To begin our install, we'll first need to remove the old or manufacturer's step. To do this, we'll start by removing the old electrical. We'll remove the 4-pin plug by pulling back on the lock connector and then separating the two connections. more

Timbren Front Suspension System Installation - 2006 Freightliner Sprinter- Video
Today on our 2006 Freightliner Sprinter we'll be installing the Timbren Front Suspension Enhancement System, part number TMBFSP35. Here's what our Sprinter van looks like with just the factory suspension. Here's what the Sprinter van looks like with the Timbren system installed. The Timbrens help reduce body roll and swerving or turning corners, as well as better handling. We've already gone ahead and jacked the vehicle up and supported it with jack stands. As you can see, our front axle is hanging freely. more

Firestone Wireless Air Command Compressor Installation - 2006 Freightliner Sprinter- Video
Today on this 2006 Freightliner Sprinter, well be installing the Firestone Wireless Air Command 2 Compressor, part number F2540. Were going to go ahead and begin here with our compressor. Were going to go ahead and mount the air fitting in the top piece right here that already has the check valve installed on it, so we just need to install this little push fitting for the airline tubing. Go ahead and remove the rubber plug. Notice that theres already some sealer on this fitting. Well go ahead and thread it in. more

Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar Installation - 2006 Freightliner Motorhome- Video
Today on this 2006 Freightliner motor home based off the Sprinter van chasse 3500 were going to install part number R-1209-118. Basically what this is is a sway bar replacement for the stock sway bar. Were going to start off by lifting our vehicle up so we can get better access to the sway bar. Next were going to go ahead and remove the original sway bar. Well undo the bolts on the vey ends first. Then well go ahead and loosen up and remove the bolts that go to the axle. more
